Seagrass ecosystems are becoming important systems to restore and mitigate climate change. Efforts required to halt degradation and restore a functional seagrass meadow are expensive and challenging due to the dynamic coastal marine environments where seagrasses are found. My research aims to explore seed-based restoration techniques for tropical seagrasses and to assess the ecological role of plant-fauna and interspecific interactions on seed-based restoration. Using seed-based restoration approach may offers the capacity to scale up and maintain genetic diversity, building resilience to combat increased pressures with climate change.
